Brothers facing murder charges arrested in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY – Police nabbed two brothers facing murder charges in Lambunao, Iloilo.

The suspects were identified as 31-year-old Virgilio Lastimoso Larroza and 44-year-old Bernaldo Lastimoso Larroza Jr., both residents of Barangay Jayubo, Lambunao.

They were arrested separately in their homes last June 24 by the Lambunao Municipal Police Station, Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RDMB-6), the 63rd Special Action Company, Special Action Force, and the 82nd Infantry Battalion (82 IB) of the Philippine Army.

Judge Gemalyn Faunillo-Tarol of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 76 in the neighboring town of Janiuay, Iloilo issued the warrants of arrest for suspects last January 2021.

The brothers are the main suspects in the killing of a man in Barangay Jayubo last August 2020 due to an old grudge.

Virgilio was the sixth most wanted person in Lambunao.

The brothers are awaiting trial.
