BLACKPINK currently filming music video with highest production cost for comeback

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK are filming the music video for their comeback and their agency said it is being done with the highest production cost.

Earlier this month, YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK will be making their return to the music scene in August. It said they were in the last stages of recording their album and a new song will be unveiled in August.

In an update, the agency said, “BLACKPINK members (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) are currently in the midst of filming a music video.”

“The highest production cost ever was spent. The whole process is going smoothly as it is well-organized under a thorough plan," the agency added.

YG Entertainment previously said, “We prepared a number of songs that’s full of BLACKPINK’s characteristics, and they’ve been working on it really hard. Along with the comeback, BLACKPINK will also go on a world tour of the largest scale as a K-POP girl group until the end of the year, to expand interaction with fans from all around the world. We’ll continuously carry out large-scale projects that can live up to their status,” according to the YG blog.

BLACKPINK will be making their comeback in a year and 10 months.

Ahead of the comeback, BLACKPINK will be releasing the music video for “Ready for Love,” a collaborative track with PUBG Mobile, on July 29.

The agency earlier said BLACKPINK would be unveiling the “Ready for Love” performing at their “in-game” concert, referring to a virtual concert in the online game world, according to the YG blog.

The “BLACKPINK X PUBG MOBILE 2022 IN-GAME CONCERT: )” kicked off last July 23.

YG Entertainment said “Ready For Love” was partially revealed in the Netflix documentary “BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky.”

“The song is an attractive pop song that starts off with lyrical piano sounds, then continues on with an explosive drop. It’s a song that portrays the attitude of not giving up on what they want, and their rock-steady heart toward love,” the agency said.
