Michael Poa named as DepEd spokesperson

The Department of Education (DepEd) named lawyer Micheal T. Poa as its new spokesperson.

Vice President and DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte confirmed this in a public announcement on Tuesday morning, July 26.

Duterte, in an interview on July 14, called on interested individuals to “submit their applications,” saying that the department will “welcome” them. In the same interview, she also confirmed that they were interviewing individuals who may qualify for the said position.

Meanwhile, apart from the department’s new spokesperson, the public announcement likewise showed that Undersecretary Epimaco V. Densing III now sits as the DepEd Chief of Staff.
