5 arrested, P310K 'shabu' seized in Cavite buy-bust

CAVITE – Five persons were arrested and around 45 grams of suspected shabu were seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Cavite Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Dasmariñas Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) on Sunday, July 24.

Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) said two of the suspects are high-value individuals, identified as Abdul Majeed Rascal, 22; and Anthony Rafanan Gacayan, 40.

Also arrested were three street-level Individuals identified as Renato L. Lazaro, 57; Yusoff A. Diamla, 18; and Jennylein L. Quinones, 37.

Seven plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P310,500 were confiscated during the operation.

The suspects are now in the custody of PDEU and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In a statement on July 25, Cavite PPO Director Col. Arnold E. Abad expressed appreciation for the accomplishment and commended the operating units.
