Senator Robin Padilla wears recycled Barong Tagalog from SM during SONA 2022

Actress-television host Mariel Padilla said that she's simply proud of her husband Senator Robin who attended the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. wearing an old Barong Tagalog that was bought at SM department store.

Mariel made the revelation on Instagram as she posted a photo of her husband attending the event at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City on July 25.

"Look at Sen. Robin for today's SONA! his barong we bought in SM years ago (naka ilang repeat performance na yan) As in I told the driver lang punta ka sa SM hanap ka ng barong. Hehe

"I also have an outfit (outfits actually @jotlosa and @anthonyramirez_official ) sana in mind kung makakapunta ako!

"But seriously speaking, very proud ako of my husband @robinhoodpadilla for answering the call of public service and what he stands for

"I'm also personally showing my support and solidarity for our President and his administration because gusto ko talaga what's best for our country

"I hope na despite our differences, we are able to wish the best not just for Robin, but for all of our public servants. "
