Laguna PNP activates checkpoints, deploys personnel to support NCR police on SONA day


Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) has deployed 63 police officers to support the National Capital Region police as part of security measures for the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. on Monday, July 25.

In a statement, Laguna PPO Director Col. Cecilio Ison Jr. said that the deployed personnel will assist in undertaking Civil Disturbance Management operations during the event.

The police provincial office has also prepared a reactionary standby support force composed of 84 police officers ready for deployment should the need arise.

In addition, Ison ordered the activation of Strategic Security Control Points and Border Control Points as part of intensified security measures for SONA.
