FastCat re-opens MIndanao gateway via Liloan to Surigao
The Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corporation (APFC), operator of Roll-on/Roll-off ferries FastCat, is re-opening its gateway to Mindanao from Liloan, Leyte to Surigao Base Port, on Friday, July 29, 2022.
"By re-opening this route, we can connect people and businesses from nearby islands and strengthen the links between Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao," the company stated.
FastCat will operate two round trips daily from Liloan, Leyte to Surigao Base Port and vice versa. Travel time is three hours each way.

Last year, FastCat stopped its Liloan-Lipata operation after Typhoon Odette damaged the Lipata port.
In addition, the pandemic changed the way people traveled.
The limited trips restricted connection among family, friends, business partners and co-workers nationwide.
Now that the government has lifted travel restrictions, FastCat is again fulfilling its aim to be an economic enabler, supporting tourism and trade in the country through its routes nationwide.
