Drug den maintainer, 5 others nabbed in Legazpi City buy-bust

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested an alleged drug den maintainer and five other persons in a buy-bust operation in a restobar here Thursday, July 21.

PDEA Bicol information officer Cotton Yuson-Talento identified the suspects as Ryan M. Rivero, Jeven M. Jamulin, Anthony A. Benitez, John Roy A. Alilano, Kobe M. Cordivilla, and Josa E. Bulawan.

Talento said Rivero works at the restobar as dishwasher and he uses the establishment as a drug den while Jamulin, Benitez, Alilano, Cordivilla, and Bulawan were patrons of the restobar.

“Empleyado po si Rivero, dishwasher. Na-establish po na drug den maintainer after a series of casing and surveillance operations (Rivero is an employee of the restobar, dishwasher. We established him to be a drug den maintainer after a series of casing and surveillance operations),” Talento said.

Seized from the suspects were nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 15 grams with estimated street value of P102,000, drug paraphernalia, and cellular phones.

Suspects are now in the custody of PDEA for proper disposition.
