Dance to and be empowered by Sanya Lopez's new single 'Hot Maria Clara'

Sparkle’s talented and versatile star Sanya Lopez unlocks another milestone as she releases her first single under GMA Music titled ‘Hot Maria Clara.’

The danceable song, which aims to boost the modern Filipinas’ self-confidence, was composed by award-winning singer-songwriter, viral video artist, director, and producer Njel de Mesa.

Through her upbeat song, Sanya aims to empower women, “Ang message nito is kung paano maging empowered ang isang babae at kung paano niya kakayanin ang mga pagsubok hindi lang sa pag-ibig kundi sa buhay rin in general.”

Since she also loves singing, she did not let this opportunity pass, “Excited and sobrang saya sa bagong opportunity na binigay sa akin ng GMA. Iba rin kasi ang feeling kapag recording naman ang gagawin mo. Lalo na sa singing na isa sa mga love kong gawin. Noong first time na marinig ko ang song, nagustuhan ko na ito.”

She likewise revealed that she focused on preparing her vocals for her first single, “Bago mag-recording ay medyo umiwas muna ako sa mga malalamig na drinks. At siyempre nagvo-vocalize every now and then para makondisyon ang boses ko.”

Sanya’s single debuted at the third spot on the iTunes chart and was included in Spotify's Fresh Finds Philippines playlist.
