Cockfight fan executed in Batangas

CAMP GEN. VICENTE LIM, Calamba City, Laguna – A cockfight aficionado was shot dead by two unidentified gunmen at the Mabini Cockpit Arena in Mabini, Batangas Thursday, July 21.

The Police Regional Office (PRO) 4-A identified the victim as Virgilio Francisco.

Investigation showed that Francisco was inside the cockpit arena when the suspects appeared from behind and shot him once in the head.

The victim died on the spot.

The suspects fled to an unknown direction with the murder weapon.

The Mabini police are conducting hot pursuit and dragnet operation against the suspects. Motive for the murder is yet to be determined.
