20 wildest national costumes from Binibining Pilipinas 2022

All roads lead to the Araneta City Grounds in Cubao, Quezon City on Saturday, July 23, for the annual Parade of Beauties of the 2022 Binibining Pilipinas Pageant which will begin at 4 pm.
This is the final pre-pageant activity for the 40 official candidates of the prestigious national pageant before the winners will be crowned at the Araneta Coliseum on July 31.
During the parade, the beauties will go around the City of Firsts atop the iconic Miata cars in their Dia Ali swimsuit by Justine Aliman.
Prior, the girls sashayed at the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 Fashion Show held at the New Frontier Theater last July 16.
While the fashion show has no bearing in the selection of winners, it is one of the much-awaited events during the pageant season. The girls also had the chance to display their national costumes, from simple to wild ones. But there will be a special award for the best in national costume, which will be announced in the finals.
Araneta City has also opened its Bb. Pilipinas 2022 National Costume Photo Exhibit.
The exhibit showcases the unique and creative national costumes of the 40 Binibining Pilipinas candidates in 7-feet-tall installations. The photos were shot by Raymond Saldaña and Owen Reyes at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Quezon City, with the girls styled by Patrick Henry Mergano and Macky Combe.
A ceremonial ribbon-cutting was held on July 4 to officially open the exhibit to the public. Present in the ceremony were BPCI Head Gines Enriquez, Araneta City AVP for Marketing Marjorie Go, Saldaña, and Reyes.
Just like in the glam shot photo exhibit, Araneta City will soon power each national costume photo with augmented reality (AR) technology to bring the portraits to life. Exhibit viewers simply need to download the UniteAR app on their smartphones, open the AR camera on the app, and scan the QR code in any of the panels to see the Binibinis in motion as they rock their national costumes.
Araneta City first introduced AR technology in Binibining Pilipinas during the national costume exhibit in 2021. This innovation, along with other digital offerings of the previous Binibini edition, won the Araneta Group its first Anvil Award for PR executions.
Initially, the photo exhibit was on display at Farmers Plaza until July 15. It can now be seen at Gateway Mall from July 16 until the grand coronation night on July 31.
