3 suspects arrested, P79k shabu seized in Laguna buy-bust operations

SANTA CRUZ, Laguna – Authorities arrested three suspects and seized from them a total of P79,080 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations.

In a buy-bust conducted in Barangay Oogong on Thursday, July 21, the Santa Cruz Municipal Police Station (MPS) nabbed Feliciano Emosino Jr., 32, after selling illegal drugs to a police officer who acted as a poseur buyer.

Confiscated from the suspect were two plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated street value of P7,480.

In a separate police operation in the same barangay, operatives arrested Jayson Calimag, 32. Seized from him were four plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P15,900.

In another buy-bust operation conducted by the Santa Cruz MPS and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Laguna in Barangay Bagumbayan on Friday, July 22, authorities nabbed Christopher Leaño, 45. Confiscated from him were eight plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P55,700.

The arrested suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

In a statement, Director Col. Cecilio R. Ison Jr. said the Laguna Police Provincial Office is serious in its mission to arrest drug dealers – from street-level pushers to high-value targets.
