PH Red Cross brings mobile 'bakuna' bus in Lanao del Sur

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has administered 14,501 doses of Covid-19 vaccines in Lanao del Sur province through its "Bakuna" Bus.

A total of 7,000 people were fully vaccinated and boosted as per PRC's statement on Thursday, July 21.

According to the PRC, Lanao del Sur is one of the places in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao where it has an active vaccination campaign program.

Other areas in Mindanao where PRC is actively conducting vaccination drives are Tawi-Tawi, Cotabato City-Maguindanao, Misamis Oriental-Cagayan de Oro, Davao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Sultan Kudarat, Sulu, and Zamboanga City.

“Ang aming chapters sa Red Cross ay patuloy na nagbabakuna laban sa Covid-19 upang maging ligtas ang lahat sa banta nito. Mayroon tayong Bakuna Teams, Bakuna Buses, at Bakuna Centers (Our Red Cross chapters are continuously vaccinating against Covid-19 to keep everyone safe from the dangers of it. We have Bakuna Teams, Bakuna Buses, and Bakuna Centers),” PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gordon said.

"As of July 20, 2022, PRC has administered 1,211,091 doses of Covid-19 vaccines, including boosters, in the whole country, fully vaccinating 375,059 persons," said PRC.
