Paul Soriano to direct PBBM's first SONA

Award-winning film director Paul Soriano will be working again with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Soriano has been tapped to direct the latter's first-ever State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 25.

This was confirmed by House of Representatives Secretary-General Mark Llandro Mendoza.

Previous showbiz personalities who directed the SONA were Joyce Bernal and renowned indie filmmaker Brillante Mendoza during the term of President Duterte.

Meanwhile, Mendoza also revealed about an individual from Ilocos, who will sing the Philippine national anthem.

Recall that Soriano's wife, singer-actress Toni Gonzaga, sang the Philippine National Anthem during PBBM's inauguration last June 30.

Soriano, at the time, also served as the creative consultant for the event.

Previously, Soriano also did campaign ads for Marcos.
