Korean star Kim Seon-ho tearfully apologizes at press conference for 'Touching the Void' play
Korean actor Kim Seon-ho has apologized again for last October’s controversy involving his former girlfriend.
Kim Seon-ho is starring in the play “Touching the Void,” which opened last July 8 at the Daehakro Art One Theater Hall 2 in Jongno, Seoul.
During the press conference for the play on July 20, Kim Seon-ho tearfully apologized for the past controversy.

He read a statement in which he said he had reflected on his wrongdoings and will strive to become a better actor and person.
"I wrote everything down because I thought I would be too nervous to say anything properly. Please understand with a broad heart,” he said, SBS News reported.
The actor, who starred in the drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” last year, added, "I'm so sorry to stand in front of you like this before today's event. Many people put efforts on this play from spring to summer of this year. I'm sorry for the team because I feel like I'm bringing concerns to everyone."
"I'm sincerely sorry for causing concerns to many people. Looking back on my life, I reflected on my wrongdoings. I will try to become a better actor as well as a better person in the future," he said.
Last October, his former girlfriend posted online about their relationship on the date the last episode of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” aired.
“Touching the Void” stars Shin Sung-min, Kim Seonho, Lee Hwi-jong and Lee Jin Hee and is based on the 1988 book of the same name written by mountaineer Joe Simpson. It focuses on the experience of Simpson and Simon Yates on their descent from Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes. A movie of the same name was released in 2003 and a play premiered in the United Kingdom in 2018.
In the Korean play, Kim Seon-ho, Shin Sung-min and Lee Hwi-jong will alternately play the role of Simpson.
Kim Seon-ho started his career in the theater in 2009 through the play “New Boeing Boeing.”
“Touching the Void” will run until Sept. 18.
