‘Roundup,’ ‘Jurassic World,’ ‘Witch’ 2, ‘Top Gun,’ ‘Broker’ emerge as top films in Korea in June


The Korean Film Council (KOFIC) released the list of the top-grossing films in South Korea in June.

“The Roundup,” the Korean action film starring ng Ma Dong-seok and Son Seok-koo released on May 18, emerged as the No. 1 top-grossing film in South Korea in June with 5.2 million in total admission and gross of $41.3 million.

“Jurassic World: Dominion,” released on June 1, grabbed second place with 2.82 million tickets sold and revenue of $22.35 million.

The Korean film “The Witch: Part 2. The Other One” is in third place with 2.42 million tickets sold and gross of $19.17 million.

Tom Cruise’s “Top Gun: Maverick,” released on June 22, grabbed fourth place with 2.18 million tickets sold and $17.84 million in revenue.

“Broker,” released on June 8 starring Song Kang-ho, Gang Dong-won, Bae Doona and IU, is in fifth place with 1.23 million in total admissions and gross of $9.48 million.
