P177,000 shabu seized from drug pusher arrested in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested another alleged drug pusher and seized suspected shabu weighing 26 grams and valued at P176,800 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Singcang-Airport here Friday, July 1.

Police identified the suspect as Eduardo Navarro Jr., 34, of Barangay 3, this city, who is renting a house in Barangay Singcang-Airport, where his two children and live-in partner reside.

Police Lt. Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said Navarro was previously arrested for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition but was later released after he applied for probation.

In 2017, Navarro was also arrested for a drug offense but was released two years later through plea bargaining, according to Mogato.

Mogato said that Navarro would usually repack the illegal drugs he reportedly sourced out from one of the barangays here and later sell it to his clients.

Mogato said that Navarro is a street level individual. He is detained at Police Station 8.

Navarro was arrested after the Police Station 8 also busted a couple and their alleged drug runner in the barangay Thursday, June 30. Seized from the suspects were P238,00 worth of suspected shabu.
