Nexplay releases Cadenza, Ureshiii

Nexplay Evos has parted ways with Kenneth “Cadenza” Castro and Rainel “Ureshiii” Logronio – a move that baffled most fans especially after the duo's stellar performances for the team.

“Despite being a newcomer in the league, we've witnessed your pro-level skills in action from the 2022 Sibol National Team Selection to MPL Philippines Season 9. Nexplay Evos' performance has greatly elevated the way you've exhibited your game,” said NXPE in its announcement regarding Cadenza’s departure

“The last MPL Philippines season was indeed a roller-coaster ride for everyone and your adrenaline-inducing game plays made it more exciting. We are honored to share the battleground with you,” it added

The announcement also came a few days after Ureshiii was also revealed to be on his way out of the NXPE camp.

While the move was questioned by many fans, it turned out that decision to let go the two promising players was all part of an agreement between NXPE and their former team AP Esports as revealed by a video interview from Tambay TV which made rounds on the social media and Mobile Legends groups.

It was revealed that both Cadenza and Ureshiii were not bought out by NXPE and were just rented for the MPL PH S9 and that their contracts weren’t renewed for another season, hence the announcement of their departure.

The two were part of the five-man AP Esports team that NXPE paraded last season along with rising star Michael “MP the King” Endino, Mariusz “Donut” Tan and Emanuel "Elpizo" Candelaria.

The three AP Esports members were still with the team together with NXPE mainstays Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcase, John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, Jhonwin “Hesa” Vergara, Jeff “S4gitnu” Subang and Jeniel “Yellyhaze” Bata-anon.
