Ifugao cops given Gawad Kalikasan Award

BAGUIO CITY -- The Ifugao Police Provincial Office headed its provincial director in Col. James Mangili received the Gawad Kalikasan Award from the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources–Cordillera Administrative Region during its 35th Anniversary on June 30 at the DENR–CAR Regional Training Center, DENR Compound, Pacdal, Baguio City.

The award is given by the DENR CAR to its partners who work with the agency for the environmental protection, ecological stability and economic upliftment to attain sustainable development.

It also expresses the appreciation of the invaluable activities towards establishing tree plantations, sustaining environmental awareness in information and education campaigns, leadership and quick response in the implementation of laws contributing to environmental awareness and protection.

The award serves as an honor for the recipient and a motivation to continuously protect and preserve our environment and our communities for the future generation.

Truly, without environmental protection and preservation, the safe place to live and work will not be attained. As the maxim says, protect mother earth and it will protect you too.

This gigantic task of protecting mother earth also reinforces the advocacy of the Philippine National Police Core Values under ‘Makakalikasan’ that supports the government action in preserving nature.
