A "no fly zone" will be implemented over Batasang Pambansa Complex come Monday, July 25, the day of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s first State of the Nation Address (SONA).

This was confirmed in a statement on Tuesday night, July 19 by House Sergeant-at-Arms Rodelio Jocson.
“Nangyayari naman yun para sa seguridad ng mga dadalo sa 19th Congress (That is implemented for the safety of those attending the 19th Congress),” he said, referring to no fly zone.
A no-fly zone is a geographic location over which aircraft cannot fly.
SONA day will jumpstart the 19th Congress even as members of the House of Representatives and Senate take part in a joint session to hear Marcos's speech at Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City.
Jocson, a retired police general said mobile phone signals will also be jammed during the SONA as part of the security measures.
On Tuesday, the House official took part in a meeting with Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PLTGen. Vicente Danao Jr. to discuss the security prepartions.
He also mentioned they held a coordinating conference with the Presidential Security Group (PSG) headed by Col. Nelson Aluad.
Jocson said there was a similar meeting last Friday that was led by National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Gen. Felipe Natividad.
Batasang Pambansa, home of the House of Representatives, was placed on "semi-lockdown" Tuesday.
