DSWD delists 10 households under 4Ps in Central Visayas for non-compliance with requirements
CEBU CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has delisted at least 10 households from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in Central Visayas (Region 7) for persistent non-compliance with requirements.
The DSWD Region 7 said these families have children not attending schools or have not shown any commitment to return to school which is a violation of the program’s requirements.
“The grantee also did not attend the monthly Family Development Sessions (FDS),” the DSWD Region 7 said.
The DSWD Region 7 said it has evaluated 767 households and some are still undergoing case management and further evaluation.
“Our beneficiaries must value the program membership and understand the conditions to be complied with, including health and education. Their difficulty in compliance can be resolved by addressing the root cause of their problem,” said DSWD Region 7 officer-in-charge Director Shalaine Marie Lucero.
The DSWD Region 7 has so far retained 20 households after they were found to be compliant after a year of evaluation and intensive case management.
The DSWD Region 7 explained that apart from attending meetings and sending their children to school, the program’s other conditions include pre- and post-natal care among mothers, regular medical checkup of children aged five and below, and deworming of children aged six to 14.
Republic Act 11310 – An Act institutionalizing the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program – stated that under the program, households may receive monthly P750 for compliance with health and FDS; children monitored by the program in elementary will receive additional P300; those in junior high will receive P500; and P700 for those in senior high school.
These benefits are limited to three children in every household.
