Converge wins speedtest award

Fiber internet service provider Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. won the Ookla Speedtest Award for Top-Rated Fixed Network in the Philippines for the first half of 2022, based on consumer initiated ratings during the semester.

Ookla®, the company behind Speedtest®, is the global leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence, testing applications and related technologies.

“We are honored to be recognized for this achievement that reflects customer sentiment," remarked Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy.

"Being the people’s choice of network means we are directing effort and investments in the right place. There’s nothing more important than giving people the service they deserve and I’m glad this is reflected in the top ISP (Internet Service Provider) ratings,” he elaborated.

The Top Rated Awards is part of the semi-annual Speedtest Awards, presented by Ookla.

“This award confirms the satisfaction of consumers with the range of offers, customer service, and overall experience Converge provides to its subscribers,” Uy pointed out.

“Taking home the award only proves that the company’s customer-centric approach is being recognized by its loyal customers.”

Last June, the company upgraded the speed of its base FiberX internet plan for free, from 50Mbps to 100Mbps, making it faster than the country’s median average.

Converge has also been consistent with its Go Deep strategy, through continuous expansion of new serviceable areas, business centers, and growing partner outlets to serve more underserved and unserved areas.

"It's not just about winning and gaining prestige," Converge Chief Operations Officer Jesus C. Romero noted.

"It's about showing the Philippines that we have what it takes to give them the best internet solutions. Being able to connect to the internet should no longer be a privilege, but a right of every Filipino."
