993 arrested, P4-M illegal drugs seized in week-long anti-crime campaign in Central Luzon
CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Nine-hundred ninety-three persons were arrested by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-3 in a week-long anti-crime campaign from July 11 to July 17.
A report from PRO-3 director Police Brig. Gen. Matthew P. Baccay said that among those arrested, 358 have standing warrants of arrest, 39 of whom are most wanted for murder, rape, and frustrated murder.
Three-hundred six were nabbed for illegal drugs, 297 for illegal gambling, and 32 for violation of special laws.
Seized from them were 31 assorted firearms, 587.5 grams of shabu with Dangerous Drug Board value of P 4,016,826.88; 1,894.88 grams of marijuana worth P227,379.60, and P123,249 cash bets.
Baccay said that they are on their toes and won’t let up in their crime mitigation efforts to deprive criminals the opportunity to carry out their nefarious activities.
