Red Ribbon opens 37th North American branch

Red Ribbon Bakeshop Inc., a homegrown firm owned by the Jollibee Group, continues to expand its presence in North America with the opening of its latest store in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

In a statement, the firm said this marks Red Ribbon’s second location in Illinois, and its 37th in the U.S. The new store is located at Bolingbrook, Illinois which is directly across The Promenade, a popular shopping complex in the area.

“We’re thrilled to finally open a location in Bolingbrook and to serve our delicious menu to everyone in this community,” said Red Ribbon Vice President for Operations Agnes Briones.

She added that, “It is an extraordinary feeling for us to see how much the brand continues to expand and to reach both loyal fans and new customers—we want everyone to experience the joy of biting into a Red Ribbon pastry.”

Red Ribbon offers baked goods inspired by authentic Filipino flavors and ingredients. While it is known for its selection of cakes, Red Ribbon also features a line-up of both sweet and savory pastries.

Founded in the Philippines in 1979, Red Ribbon was fully acquired by the Jollibee Foods Corporation in 2005. Since then, the bakery brand has expanded its offerings to include both single-serve dessert items and an array of sweet and savory pastry treats intended for everyday snacking.

To date, Red Ribbon has over 500 outlets all over the Philippines and more than 30 stores in U.S.
