Willie Revillame signs with AMBS

Willie Revillame went live on social media Friday, July 15, to make public his contract signing with Advance Media Broadcasting System (AMBS).

Apart from Willie, present at the signing were AMBS President Maribeth C. Tolentino and the broadcast company's legal counsel, Atty. TJ Mendoza.

Before doing so, Willie thanked ABS-CBN, TV5 and GMA – networks that became home for the different iterations of his show, “Wowowin – Tutok To Win,” through the years.

He then presented a video, parading a variety of images that recalled some of the show’s more memorable moments.

Willie then showed the video card of AMBS with the tagline “your new network” and “soon.”

He then announced the first ever show of the network, his own "Wowowin Tutok To Win."

He said, “Yes, ito na ang bagong bahay ng 'Wowowin,' ang AMBS, your network. Ang maganda, hindi lang 'Wowowin' ang makikita dito. Marami pang ibang parating na programa. Mga quality at magagandang programa na ang ilan e 'yung makapagtuturo din sa mga bata..."

As to his exact designation in the broadcast company, Maribeth made clear, "Very important partner si Willie para sa amin. Siya ang kapartner ko para buuin ang buong line up ng programa ng AMBS."

Willie added, "Siyempre bago sila sa business na ito, so, 'yung maiibibigay ko 'yung experience ko. Hindi biro ito. Malaking gastos ito so, I’m here to help. I have a part sa management ng programs ng AMBS."

Both Willie and Maribeth were mum as to the network's upcoming shows.

They were also silent as to the artists they are planning to sign up.

Earlier, reports about Willie supposedly meeting with the likes of Aga Muhlach and John Estrada surfaced.

But he maintained, "Wala pa kaming artista. May mga kinakausap pa lang. Pero, siyempre, hindi pa namin pwedeng i-reveal. Huwag ninyong paniwalaan 'yung mga lumalabas na balita. Fake news 'yun."

As to the shows they're planning, "Inaaral pa namin kung ano at sino ang ilalagay at sa kung anong oras. Lahat ng ito hindi mamadaliin pero malalaman ninyo ang mga detalye soon."

Asked if there is significance relating the date they made public his contract signing as with the network launch set on September, Maribeth related, "Wala naman. it came at the right time. Nagtugma lang ang mga schedules at ito nga we simply decided na gawin na. Same with the September launch, wala namang personal significance whatsoever."

Given his tasks in the burgeoning network, we asked Willie if there is a possibility that one of these days he will simply delegate "Wowowin Tutok To Win" to someone else.

He said, "Hindi. Hindi ko bibitawan ang show na ito. Mahal ko ito. Ito ang inspirasyon ko. Hinding-hindi ko bibitawan ito."
