Streamer ChooxTV headlines Onic; ECHO keeps powerhouse core for MPL S10

Popular streamer Edgar “ChooxTV” Dumali headlines the new-look Onic Philippines while ECHO will be bannered anew by its powerhouse core in the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 10.

After a tumultuous off-season that saw Onic release almost every player in its roster that placed second in the M3 World Championship, the esports organization is now parading an entirely new look roster. 

Joining ChooxTV are Nowee “Ryota” Macasa, the lone holdover from the previous season’s roster, former Cignal-Ultra player Jefferdson “Kekedot” Mogol and former TNC reserve Landher “Der” San Gabriel.

Also in the crew are rookies Frince “Frinceee” Miguel, Kenneth “Netskie” Barro, Stephen “Sensui” Castillo, and Ralph “Rapidoot” Andrales. Kevin “Bluffzy” Reyes, the team’s assistant coach last season is taking a more active role on the sidelines as the team coach along with Jeffrey “Jeff” Manforte.

On the other hand, ECHO kept its powerhouse main five led by M2 World Champion Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno along with Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, Frediemar “3martzy” Serafico, Benedict “BennyQT” Gonzales and JanKurt “Kurtzy” Matira.

Two-time MPL champion Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz after serving as an assistant coach to the team last season, is also back in the fold for the Orcas. Former Nexplay Evos Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya and former Omega Esports Jhonville “Outplayed” Villar are also the new additions to team along with rookies Justin “Zaida” Palma and Alston “Sanji” Pabico.

Taking the place of former coach Michael “Arcadia” Bocado who departed from the team in the off-season are Archie “Tic Tac” Reyes at Robert “Trebor” Sanchez.

Onic PH finished fourth in MPL S9 while ECHO after a solid start in the regular season, struggled in the playoffs exiting at the  5th-6th place.
