Guns, bullets, over P480K illegal drugs seized in Bulacan


Several firearms, ammunition, and more than P480,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized by Bulacan police during the fourth day of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) in the province on Thursday, July 14.

Bulacan PNP acting director Col. Charlie A. Cabradilla said the implementation of a search warrant by San Ildefonso police led to the arrest of the suspect, Nicomedez Villanueva, and recovery of several firearms and ammunition in his residence at Sitio Luwasan, Brgy. Akle, San Ildefonso.

Seized from Villanueva were a 9mm pistol, two magazines, 15 live ammunition for 9mm firearm, one 12-gauge shotgun with six live bullets, eight live ammunition for .45-caliber gun, 120 live ammunition and five long steel magazines for 5.56-caliber rifle, one short plastic magazine for 5.56-caliber rifle, six live ammunition for caliber 7.60, one .45 rifle with long steel magazine, and one long steel magazine for 9mm rifle.

The police also implemented a search warrant at the house of suspect Joseph Revillo

in Purok Maligaya, Barangay San Jose, San Miguel Bulacan, which led to the recovery of a .38-caliber revolver loaded with five live bullets.

Appropriate criminal charges were filed against the said suspects.

Meanwhile, some P250,000 worth of shabu was confiscated by police from drug personalities during a buy-bust in Barangay Tibag, Pulilan.

In another operation, police recovered P180,000 worth of suspected marijuana from the three arrested drug suspects in Barangay Sto. Cristo, City of San Jose del Monte.

Operations conducted in Malolos City and Marilao and San Rafael towns resulted in the seizure of P50,880 worth of illegal drugs and arrest of 11 drug peddlers.
