Cagayan governor orders intensified rollout of Covid vaccine

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Gov. Manuel Mamba has directed the Provincial Health Office and the 12 district hospitals to intensify the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine throughout the province.

Mamba issued the order after this city logged 13 new Covid-19 cases Friday, July 15. There are now 19 active Covid-19 cases here.

According to the Cagayan Provincial Information Office, 21 barangays are now affected by the infectious disease.

Barangays Leonarda and San Gabriel have the highest number of active cases with seven each.

Seventeen of those who tested positive were symptomatic and two were asymptomatic or showed no symptoms of the virus.

Most of the confirmed infections were community transmission.

Cagayan has 90 active Covid-19 cases in 12 towns.

Two new cases were recorded in Aparri and one each in Claveria, Enrile, Lal-lo, and Solana.
