PH to have cyclone-free weekend — PAGASA

The country will be cyclone-free this weekend as no tropical cyclone is expected to develop near or inside the country’s area of responsibility in the next few days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Friday, July 15.

In the PAGASA’s weekly weather outlook, Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country will have warm and humid weather with chances of afternoon or evening rain showers and thunderstorms from Saturday until Monday, July 16 to 18.

By Tuesday until Wednesday, July 19 to 20, Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, while the rest of the country will have warm weather apart from afternoon or evening rain showers and thunderstorms.

By Thursday until Friday, July 21 to 22, the whole archipelago will have warm weather with chances of rain showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

PAGASA said that there is a slim chance of tropical cyclone development throughout the week.

However, updates through weather advisories will be issued if there will be significant chances in the weather scenario, it added.

Based on the PAGASA’s historical record, there may be two or three tropical cyclones that may enter or form inside the country’s area of responsibility before July ends.
