P374K 'shabu' seized, high-value target nabbed in La Union sting

A high-value target (HVT) drug suspect was arrested by joint anti-narcotics authorities while around P374,000 of alleged crystal meth or "shabu" were seized in a buy-bust operation in San Gabriel, La Union on Thursday, July 14.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspect Lindo Baos, who was the subject of complaints by his neighbors in Barangay Bumbuneg due to his alleged illegal drug activities.

In the operation, joint personnel of PDEA and La Union police confiscated one knot-tied plastic bag containing more or less 55 grams of suspected shabu, one coin purse, four transparent plastic sachets and a caliber 9 mm ammunition from the suspect.

Baos faces charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
