BACOLOD CITY – A chemical spill hit Barangay 39 here Thursday, July 14.

The city government is now probing the incident.
Councilor Psyche Marie "Pao" Sy, head of the Committee on Fire, Social Defense, and Natural Disasters and Public Works, along with other concerned government agencies, conducted an inspection and assessment in the area after residents complained of foul smell reportedly caused by the chemical spill inside a private lot.
A team from the Negros Prawn Cooperative obtained samples for laboratory testing which will be essential to enable a proper action plan to the problem.
