BACOLOD CITY -- People were roused from their sleep as a magnitude-3.2 earthquake jolted this city before dawn Thursday, July 14.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the epicenter of the quake at 2:12 a.m. was located six kilometers northwest here.
The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of 10 kilometers.
Netizens here quickly shared their brief experience from the quake on social media with some saying that they were sleeping soundly and felt nothing while others said they felt the tremor and quickly got out of bed.
Other netizens in Negros Occidental also felt the shake.Â
No damage or aftershock is expected following the tremor, Phivolcs said.
