DJ Loonyo, Janine Berdin clash over meme

DJ Loonyo recently called out Janine Berdin on social media.

This, after the 20-year-old singer updated the cover photo of her Facebook account with a screenshot of  a petition to "Change NAIA's name to DJ Loonyo International Airport."

On Instagram, DJ Loonyo uploaded a copy of his conversation with Janine.

He wrote: "Ma'am sorry. May natitira pa po ba kayong respeto? may nagawa ba ako sayong mali?"

Janine replied: "Hala Kuya, Hello po! It's really just a meme that I found super funny. I found it online. I didn't really mean any harm. Ano po kaya context ng meme? :) i just thought it meant to change the name of the airport to you. Like poking fun. Super random hahaha. Really didnt mean any harm! I don't think people found it degrading to you as well po!"

But DJ Loonyo is not happy with her explanation.

He said: "Nakakatakot yung utak ng mga gantong tao (thumbs down emoji) Pag kayo ginanyan ISSUE, HEADLINE AND BASH AGAD. Katuwaan? Tapos binabash and pinagttripan yung taong involved?"

The online content creator then told Janine: "Ur better than that for sure. God bless your soul..."

It didn't end there.

The "Tawag ng Tanghalan" grand champion reposted DJ Loonyo's post.

She related: "Oh kuya, if you really wanna talk about it publicly... I really wanna know how you understood the meme.

"I just thought it was a petition to just literally change the airport name to you. It's satire. It's poking fun. It's random."

Janine pointed out how no one would actually take it seriously.

She added: "People use my name to poke fun all the time as well. Hell people talk sh*t and laugh at me as well. I'm not saying that's what the meme was doing kasi it wasn't meant to be degrading at all.. but yeah! It's what comes along when you're public figure. no big! smile po kayo!"

On Facebook, Janine uploaded another "meme" with her name replacing the "Ninoy Aquino" in Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Again, it didn't end there.

Seemingly milking the issue for all its worth, DJ Loonyo re-shared his conversation with Janine on his Facebook page.

He wrote on the comment section: "Kung wala kayong magawa, pagtripan niyo sarili niyo wag ibang tao. Maging sensitive tayo minsan, di natin alam pinagdadaanan ng isa’t isa satin."

"Ini-expect ko yung mga matagal na or kahit papano nauna sa industriya ay kahit papano alam ang 'RESPETO NA LANG SANA,'" he added. "Pero para katuwaan sigeeee, Go lang, kahit iba na yung napuntahan ng KATUWAAN."

"PANGALAN MO SAYO YUNG AIRPORT, Baka ikaw yung may gusto hindi ako."

He then addressed Janine, saying: "Sige po ma’am ikaw na tama."

"Kahit pinagtatawanan, binabash, at nilalait na sa comment, KATUWAAN PARIN, grabe yung mindset," he related. "Ingat tayo ma’am, baka mag-boomerang yan sayo, Pinagdaanan ko na yan, nadapa, natuto at gino-goal mas maging better. Sana ganun din sayo, hindi yung pag walang magawa, ay manttrip ng iba."
