5 suspects arrested in Las Piñas drug buy-bust

Members of the Las Piñas police arrested five drug suspects during the conduct of “Oplan Galugad”  on Tuesday, July 12, and confiscated from them P362,440 worth of shabu.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the suspects as Lloyd Barrantes, 24; Rolando Espiritu, 31; Maricar Versoza, 35; and Anthony Sotol, 26; all residents of  Las Piñas City; and Jonathan Buena, 34, of Bacoor, Cavite .

Macaraeg said the suspects were arrested around 3:00 p.m. along Tambakan Bernabe Compound, Barangay Pulanglupa Uno, Las Piñas City.

He said members of the Las Piñas police conducted Oplan Galugad in the area allegedly known as the haven of drug personalities that resulted in the arrest of the suspects.

The SPD chief said confiscated from the suspects were 53.5 grams of shabu worth P362,440, one black coin purse, three pieces of one peso coin, and four P20 bills.

Macaraeg said the suspects are now detained at the Las Piñas police custodial facility and charged with illegal possession of drugs.
