SSS extends ACOP compliance until October 31

(SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM)

The Social Security System (SSS) announced on Tuesday, July 12, that the deadline for the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners’ Program (ACOP) is extended until Oct. 31.

The previous deadline was on June 30.

As per SSS' Facebook post, the following pensioners are required to comply with ACOP:

- Retirement pensioners residing abroad

- Total disability pensioners

- Survivor pensioners (dependent children who are minor or incapacitated with guardians)

SSS also said that starting Nov. 1, retirement pensioners residing abroad and total disability pensioners shall comply with ACOP on the birth month of the pensioner.

Those survivor pensioners must comply on the month when the SSS member died while the dependent (minor/incapacitated) pensioner with a guardian must comply on the birth month of the deceased member.

SSS also reiterated that the ACOP Pensioner's Reply From can be downloaded at the official SSS website.

Pensioners who have already complied on 2021 do not need to submit again on the said deadline, said the state-run pension fund.

Also starting Jan. 1, 2023, the pension of pensioners who did not comply with ACOP until the new deadline will be suspended. (Luisa Cabato)
