Duterte's office warns vs poser account using OVP

This time the poser was on Vice President Sara Duterte and her office.

Vice Presidential spokesperson Reynold Munsayac bared on Tuesday, July 12, that the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and its satellite offices are now a subject of fake accounts on social media.

Munsayac warned the public of fake Facebook accounts posing to be official accounts of Duterte and her office.

“The public is hereby warned of fake Office of the Vice President and Satellite Offices Facebook Accounts,” he said in a statement released to the media.

The spokesperson said the OVP does not have yet any Facebook accounts as of this time.

“The OVP is in the process of updating the official government OVP website which will hold all information about the OVP,” he added.

In the meantime, Munsayac said the public activities of the Vice President will be posted on Duterte’s official Facebook page “Inday Sara Duterte,” her Twitter account @indaysara (Sara Duterte), and Instagram account @indaysaraduterte.

The OVP under Duterte’s predecessor then vice president Leni Robredo had been a constant victim of fake accounts supposedly offering bogus raffle and livelihood programs.

Her Angat Buhay non-government organization (NGO) also had dubious accounts on social media using the similar name.
