2 rescued from collapsed fence in Tagaytay; search on for 6 more

TAGAYTAY CITY – The Cavite Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) successfully rescued two persons from a concrete structure that collapsed in Barangay Kaybagal Central on the evening of Monday, July 11.

In a Facebook post, Cavite-PDRRMO said they were able to rescue two persons as of 8:00 a.m. on July 12.

"SRR (search, rescue, and retrieval operation) is still active for the six individuals who are still trapped on the site. Details may change as situation warrants," the post said.

Based on the initial report from the Tagaytay City Police Station (CPS), the eight victims were resting in their construction barracks when the concrete fence made of cemented hollow blocks collapsed amid a heavy rainfall.
