The Pasay City government rolled out its “Kain Tayo Mobile Kitchen” aimed at distributing nutritious food to pregnant and lactating mothers, including their children, pre-school children, the elderly, children with special needs, and informal settlers.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city’s Social Welfare and Development Department (SWDD) conducted the “Kain Tayo Mobile Kitchen” that started on July 12 and will last until July 29 in selected areas in the city.
Rubiano said the program is in support of the Rise Against Hunger program, a hunger relief operation that distributes food to the most vulnerable sector to end hunger.
She said that aside from the “Kain Tayo Mobile Kitchen,” the SWDD also conducted Food Bank Operations to help city residents especially those affected by the pandemic.
The mayor said the program is part of her HELP priority agenda (Health programs and Housing, Education, Economic Growth and Environment, Livelihood and Lifestyle, and Palengke (Market) and Pamilya (Family).
