'Caloocan City has zero tolerance for heinous crimes' - Mayor Malapitan
Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said on Monday, July 11, that the local government has zero tolerance when it comes to heinous crimes.
Malapitan made the statement after three most wanted persons in the city were arrested and presented to him by the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) on Monday.
“Zero tolerance tayo sa heinous crimes. Lilinisin natin ang listahan, lahat ng mga kriminal at gumagambala sa katahimikan ng lungsod arestuhin (We have zero tolerance for heinous crimes. We will clean up the list, arrest all criminals and those who disturb the peace in the city),” Malapitan said.
During their recent command conference, Malapitan instructed Col. Samuel Mina, CCPS chief, to present the city’s public enemies and to ensure sufficient police visibility in the communities.
Maj. Jeraldson Rivera, CCPS Investigation and Detective Management Section chief, and Maj. John David Chua from the Chief Intelligence Section-Caloocan, presented the three most wanted persons to the mayor.
They were identified as Christian Madrona, 28, from Barangay 176, the city’s top 3 most wanted person for rape; Sonny Abrasaldo, 41, from Barangay 40, a high value individual (HVI) arrested for attempted murder, robbery hold-up, and illegal drugs; and Ricardo Dela Cruz, 46, from Barangay 177, another HVI arrested for illegal drugs and theft.
Malapitan also reiterated his instructions to the city police for them to continue and strengthen the anti-illegal drug campaign.
“Huwag sana tayo tumigil na hulihin at parusahan ang mga tulak. Ipagpatuloy at humanap tayo ng mga bagong paraan para mas mapaigting ang pakikipaglaban natin sa ilegal na droga (May we not stop arresting and apprehending the drug pushers. Let us continue to find new ways to intensify our fight against illegal drugs),” he said.
The mayor thanked the CCPS for its services and assured that the local government will support its programs and needs.
