The team also has its eyes set on the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 10 which will serves as a qualifier for the M4 World Championship in January next year.

“We were deeply honored and humbled by the invitation, but due to our team's recent overseas MSC tournament, and ensuring that our players and coaches have had enough rest before embarking on their rigorous training plan for the upcoming MLBB competitive season, we had to politely decline the invitation this time around,” said RSG in a statement.

RSG was one of the three teams invited to the qualifying tournament along with MSC 2022 third placer Smart Omega Esports and M3 World Champion and 31st Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Blacklist International.

RSG, however, added that the team is still interested to participate in other future events that would involve representing the country in the international stage.

“However, we do have a keen interest to participate in future events to have a chance to represent the Philippines,” it added.

The invited teams got a bye in the first phase of the qualifiers and will compete in the second phase where the top two teams will be invited to the three-day Sibol combine.

Among the players in the combine, Sibol will then select the players that will comprise the national team for the global meet.
