Man wanted for rape falls after 8 years in hiding


TAYABAS CITY, Quezon – Police arrested here Saturday, July 10, a 55-year-old canvasser wanted for raping his daughter in 2014.

The Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) identified the suspect as Ulysses de la Torre.

De la Torre is the most wanted person in this city and has been hiding for eight years when he was arrested in Barangay Baguio.

Judge Teodoro Solis of the Regional Trial Court Branch 25 in Biñan City, Laguna issued the warrants of arrest for three counts of rape dated January 22, 2015 against the suspect.

The Tayabas police led by Police Staff Sgt. Wilna May de la Cruz, chief of the warrant section, together with the 1st and 3rd platoon of 1st Quezon Provincial Mobile Force Company, arrested the De la Torre.
