Ella Cruz asks Sen. Imee Marcos: 'Mali po ba yung history is like tsismis?'

Actress Ella Cruz stood by her comment when she likened history to gossip in a new post with Sen. Imee Marcos.

In the latest video uploaded on Sunday, July 10, Ella asked Imee: "Sen, mali po ba yung sinabi ko na 'History is like tsismis?' Di ko naman sinabi na 'History is tsismis.' Tapos, diyan na lang sila nag-focus hindi na sa paliwanag."

Ella added: "At totoo naman na ang kasaysayan ay tsismis na napatunayan dahil sa ebidensiya at sa research."

Imee agreed: "History is tsismis with methodology, analysis, and proof."

Later, the two celebrities shared some quotes from philosophers and writers that echoed their same sentiments.

"History is merely gossip," says scar Wilde.

"History: gossip well told," according to Elbert Hubbard

"History is nothing but gossip about the past, with the hope that it might be true," says Gore Vidal.

"History is a pack of lies about events that never happened told by people who weren't there," cites George Santayana.

Imee also cited Presidential Decree No. 90 of the year 1973 which makes rumor mongering and spreading false information punishable by law.

The latest video was written and directed by Darryl Yap, who is also behind the upcoming movie "Maid In Malacanang."

In the same video, Darryl asked Ella: "Artistang naghahanap ng mapapangasawang foreigner para maka-ahon, ang ending siya ang bumuhay sa foreigner?"

Ella, 25, replied: "G*g* ka! Uy! Ayoko! Ayaw!"

Darryl still asked: "Sino yan?"

Ella answered: "Si (bleep)"
