Comelec urges voter applicants to check satellite registration schedule

If you are planning to register for the December Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan polls, better check if the Office of the Election Officer has a scheduled satellite registration first.

This as the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said the OEO might be closed.


"If the Office of the Election Officer is on satellite registration, their office premises will most likely be closed since they are conducting offsite registration," the poll body said in a Facebook post.


The satellite registration schedule may be viewed in the social.media accounts of the Comelec.
Voter registration resumed July 4 and will end on July 23, 2022.


As of July 8, the Comelec said there have been 487,628 new registrants nationwide.


Broken down into types of voters, those aged 15-17 years old had 302,040 applicants; 18-30 years old with 157,925 applicants; and 31 years old and above with 27,663 applicants.
