3 neighbors caught with P524,000 shabu in Bacolod buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested three neighbors and seized suspected shabu worth P523,600 in a buy-bust operation in Purok Kapawa, Barangay Punta Taytay here Sunday, July 10.

The suspects were identified as Cyril Gepielago, 49; Julius Londres, 42; and Pearly Mae Panes, 30.

Police Lt. Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said they received reports about their alleged involvement in the illegal drugs trade, prompting them to conduct the operation.

Mogato said that Gepielago and Londres were considered high value individuals, while Panes, an alleged drug runner, is a street level individual.

He said that Gepielago was a drug surrenderer while Londres was previously jailed for a drug offense and was released last year.

Mogato said that Panes is a niece of Gabriel Llenos Jr., who was arrested in a buy-bust in Barangay Sum-ag here in April, along with a teacher, who is his live-in partner.

He said they are probing if the two others had links to the previous arrested individuals.

The three of them are detained at Police Station 9.
