Truck destroys 6 tricycles, motorcycles in Dagupan

DAGUPAN CITY – A truck rammed and destroyed six tricycles and motorcycles on New De Venecia Highway, Lucao District, this city, Thursday, June 30.

Police investigation showed that the driver, Marcelino Genese, 39, of Barangay Rabon, San Fabian, this province, fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle then crashed into the tricycles and motorcycles parked unattended in front of Sydney’s Restaurant at around 4:10 a.m.

The truck stopped and tilted on the roadside near a fishpond.

Genese was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.

Parties involved in the incident have reached an amicable settlement. The truck owner pledged to pay for the damaged tricycles and motorcycles.
