Couple, mule nabbed, P238,000 shabu seized in Bacolod drug sting

BACOLOD CITY – A couple and their alleged runner were arrested while 35 grams of suspected shabu were seized in a buy-bust operation in Purok Neptune, Barangay Singcang-Airport here Thursday, June 30.

Police Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, identified the suspects as Rodhah Mae Guevara, 38, her live-in partner Eduardo Villanueva Jr., 43, and drug mule Tryshia Ruiz, 22, all residents of Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Guevara, the subject of the operation, is a high-value individual, while the two others were newly identified individuals, according to Puerto.

Puerto said that Guevara was previously arrested for a drug offense and was released after she had served her sentence.

He said that Guevara will be charged for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs, while the two others will face charges for illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
