The police said the Utto robbery group is responsible for the proliferation of illegal drugs in Taguig, particularly in Barangays Maharlika, Upper, and Central Bicutan.

The search warrant was issued by Executive Judge Antonio Olivete of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 267.

Seized during the operation were seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 15.7 grams valued at P106,760.

The police will file charges against Pineda for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

In another operation, members of Taguig Police Sub-station 4 implemented a search warrant issued by Judge Olivete against suspect Arnaldo Lagon on Bluemarlins Street in Aranai Village in Barangay Ususan, Taguig.

Seized from him were a .38-caliber handgun, five live ammunition, and a hand grenade.

The suspect will be charged for violations of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Republic Act 9516, which amended the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 1866 on “illegal/unlawful possession, manufacture, dealing in, acquisition or disposition of firearms, ammunition or explosives or instruments used in the manufacture of firearms, ammunition or explosives, and imposing stiffer penalties for certain violations thereof, and for other relevant purposes.”
