Over P93K worth of marijuana seized, 8 drug peddlers nabbed in Bulacan

Police seized some P93,600 worth of marijuana and arrested eight suspects in a series of anti-illegal drugs operations in Bulacan on Wednesday and early Thursday morning, June 9.

Col. Charlie A. Cabradila, acting Bulacan police director, said operatives of Sta. Maria Police Station arrested Giann Pilapil, alias "Jun Jun", in a buy-bust in Barangay Lalakhan, Sta. Maria, at 8:40 p.m. on June 8.

The team seized from him a brick of dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops weighing around 780 grams.

Seven more alleged drug peddlers were also arrested in anti-illegal drug operations launched by the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEUs) of Balagtas, Baliwag, Bocaue, San Rafael and San Jose Del Monte City Police.

A total of 25 sachets of suspected shabu, a coin purse, a cigarette pack, and buy-bust money were recovered during the operations.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Forensic Unit for examination.
