Team Secret leads charge for PH bets in VCT APAC Challengers Stage 2

After reclaiming its spot atop the local scene, Team Secret leads the charge for the Filipino bets in the VCT APAC Challengers Stage 2 which is set to fire off on Thursday, June 9.

Team Secret missed out APAC Stage 1 after falling in the first round of the playoffs in the first PH Challengers but completed its own redemption arc when the crew led by Jayvee “DubsteP” Paguirigan found its groove back and authored a dominant postseason run capped by a 3-1 triumph over Oasis Gaming in the Finals of PH stage 2.

Oasis, despite the bridesmaid finish, still saw an improvement from its fourth place run in Stage 1 and secured a spot in the regional tiff while RRQ Philippines after finishing third, qualified for the play-in which ushers in the competitions.

RRQ will face Made in Thailand Esports, Boom Esports, Bleed Esports, Cerberus Esports, Team Big Baam, Ghetto Artists and Enigma Gaming for the two remaining spots in the main draw.

In the group stage, Oasis is grouped with Stage 1 champions Paper Rex Gaming from Singapore and Order team from Australia while TS is drawn with Thai team FW Esports and Vietnamese squad Fancy United Esports.

Group stage starts on June 15 while the playoffs kick off on June 23 with the winner taking home the lion’s share of the $150,000 prize pool and one of the two tickets to Copenhagen Masters in July.
