Imee travels to Davao city, extends Marcos family’s gratitude for President-elect Bongbong Marcos' victory

Senator Imee Marcos traveled to Davao City last Sunday to relay the Marcos family’s gratitude for the resounding victory given by the city’s residents to her brother, president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr., in the May 9, 2022 elections.

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go and Davao City Mayor-elect Sebastian ‘’Baste’’ Duterte joined Senator Marcos in Barangay Vicente Duterte and Barangay. Buhangin as part of the "Kadiwa, Pasasalamat at Ugnayan" series of events being held in barangays nationwide.

Marcos’ vice presidential candidate, Davao city Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, daughter of President Duterte, won in the May 9 vice presidential race.

Baste is the brother of Sara.

Some 1,000 residents of both barangays were treated to pre-cooked dishes and took home fresh vegetables and fish for free from the Department of Agriculture (DA), through the initiative of Senator Marcos.

Partners in the event included Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Kristine Evangelista, officials of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and local officials.
